Kim Rozzi, Executive Director.   Kim Rozzi was named Executive Director in March 2010, and is charged with ensuring Brooklyn Child and Family Services’ ongoing impact in the community through effectively run, much-needed programs for families and children. A lifelong Brooklyn resident, Kim brings over 23 years of experience in public service and non-profit management, with particular expertise in program planning, development, analysis and administration.

Much as Brooklyn Child and Family Services was founded by women devoted to empowering their own community, Kim’s career began with as a local school advocate and activist.  As the former Co-chair of the Council of Presidents of Parents Associations from 26 Brooklyn district schools, she worked with teachers, administrators, parents and community groups to improve public education. She helped develop ground-breaking programs for new immigrant populations.

Believing in the power of the arts to improve educational outcomes, Kim joined the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum’s Children’s Program, Learning Through Art, initially as a volunteer and ultimately as its Director. During her seven-year tenure, she built 40 museum-school partnerships, developed in-house educational programs and curricula, and conducted long- and short-range planning initiatives to further program mission. She earned national recognition for her impact.

In 2000, Kim became Executive Director of The Maurer Foundation, a breast health foundation. As its leader, she established its educational policy, research and strategy, positioning the foundation as a leader in the field of breast cancer and breast health education. Kim served as a spokesperson within the breast cancer arena and was responsible for planning annual conferences, program proposals and research. She forged valuable relationships with foundations, corporations and community constituents.

Kim earned an MPA from New York University with a specialty in Health Policy and Management, and a BA in Arts Education from the State University of New York. She is an advisory member of The Lymphatic Research Foundation, a border member and treasurer of New York Technical Assistance Provider Network, and a member of the American Public Health Association.

Katya Rattray, Program Director (Head Start/Early Head Start/Flatbush Day Care). She has a MBA (honors) from University of Miami and a BA (high honors) in Sociology and Women’s Studies from Douglas College at Rutgers University.  She was a management consultant for over 15 years with The Shenstone Group, RITG and National Council on Compensation Insurance focusing on Process Change, Marketing and Financial Plans.  She also has a strong background in children with special needs, has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and the NJ Women and AIDS Network.

Vanessa Boucher, Program Director of Rose F. Kennedy Center for Homeless Services and Day Care Center.  She has a BA degree in English (honors) from Rutgers University and is currently enrolled in a Masters Degree program.  She is a strong advocate for children and women and has a strong background in Head Start family development and parent services.

Emmanuel Glasu, Director of Finance.  As the Director of Finance, Mr. Glasu provides oversight and fiscal management for BCAFS, a multi funded non profit organization. Emmanuel Glasu has over 20 years experience in non profit financial management and has held senior positions as a senior auditor and accountant He holds a Bachelors degree from York College and has received training and certification in various accounting software and practices.  He brings to BCAFS specific expertise in financial analysis, proficiency in accounting software, cash management and has a deep knowledge of Government Funding streams.
